Wayfarer: Choosing Hometown and Bonus locations

Wayfarer is a website where Ingress and Pokemon Go players can review portals and pokestops nominations, and make their own nominations get approved faster.

To access this site, players need to be Level 12 in Ingress or Level 40 in Pokemon Go. After a small test, players can access the site and start reviewing nominations.

For each 100 agreements, players will get an Upgrade that can be added to one of their own nominations to be reviewed faster and will get answered in a week approximately.

The quantity of agreements will depend on the players that are reviewing on the site. If there are not many players, the process will take longer. This is why is a good idea to use Hometown and Bonus locations to review more nominations, get more agreements and  upgrades to boost your own pokestop nominations.

In the "Settings" section you can choose 2 locations: Hometown location and Bonus location, both will influence the nominations that you will review based on the place you choose. 

Hometown location: choose the place where you currently live in. This location cannot be changed. 

Bonus location: choose a country that has a big Pokemon Go community. I recommend choosing the capital or one of the most populated cities. This  location can be changed each year. 

For example: During my first year in Wayfarer, i choosed Teheran (capital city of Iran) as bonus location. There were few nominations because the game is banned and most nominations were from tourists playing Ingress. But, i discovered that you can review the same nomination twice if there are not many players within the area.

A year passed, and i choose another country, this time at random, so i made a numbered list of all countries  and used a random number generator website to pick one, and Hungary was this year´s winner. So i placed the location in Budapest (capital city). This country has more pokestop nominations but also reached some nominations from Slovakia (north).

This way, reviewing pokestops nominations from 2 countries can help you get more upgrades and more pokestops. Use Google Translator if you have trouble with the title and description, overall the photo speaks for itself.
